Gavia UIv1.0.0

Accessibility

Keyboard contracts, accessible names and a separate protocol for real screen-reader acceptance.

Names and descriptions

Give icon-only controls an aria-label. WlField exposes inputId, labelId and ariaDescribedby: bind labelId to aria-labelledby on composite controls, and bind descriptions to the actual focusable input.

Keyboard and focus

Tab moves between controls. Arrow keys move inside listboxes, tabs, menus, groups and toolbars according to their orientation. Escape closes only the top applicable overlay. Modal dialogs keep focus inside and restore it to the opener after closing.

What your application owns

Provide meaningful labels, errors, alternative text, table captions and loading outcomes. Preserve native modified-link behavior. Test keyboard operation and visible focus with your content in all five themes, on desktop and mobile.

Manual acceptance

Record browser, operating system, NVDA/VoiceOver versions, date and results in the maintainer protocol. Unit, browser and ARIA snapshot checks do not substitute for this manual acceptance.
